INFORMATION ON THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ACT (ELEKTROG):
The Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) regulates the placing on the market, return and environmentally sound disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. In connection with the sale of electrical and electronic equipment, we as the seller are obliged to draw your attention to the following:
Waste electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste. Disposal with normal household waste is prohibited and contravenes the ElektroG. As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used waste electrical and electronic equipment. Waste electrical and electronic equipment must be disposed of by returning it to the responsible manufacturer or importer via the collection centres of the public waste disposal authorities (örE). You can use the free local collection and return centres in your municipality for this purpose. Used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance must be separated from it before being handed in.
You can recognise old appliances within the meaning of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act by the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin.
We would also like to point out that you, as the end user of old appliances, are responsible for deleting any personal data on the old appliances to be disposed of.
